These are the agreements between you and Accounticus. They are short and in plain words, but they really apply.
What is Accounticus?
An online bookkeeping service for small Belgian businesses and the self-employed. The service is provided by AFROEAT CommV, BE 0757.679.470, Nijverheidsstraat 67 PB 7, 9890 Gavere.
Your account
You create an account with your company's VAT number. You are responsible for who you give access to and for your password. One account per company.
What we do
We book your invoices, receipts and bank transactions, prepare your VAT return, send and receive invoices over Peppol and answer your questions with a smart assistant.
What you do
You give us correct and complete information and send your documents on time. You stay legally responsible for your books and your filings. Check a return before you file it.
The assistant can make mistakes
The assistant works with AI. It is good, but not perfect. When in doubt we ask you. Check amounts and choices that involve a lot of money. We are not a certified accountant or tax adviser.
Bank account
You can connect your bank account so your transactions come in by themselves. This is read-only. Your bank asks you to renew your consent regularly. You can stop the connection at any time.
Price
The price is shown on the website or in your agreement before you pay. During the trial period the service is free. We announce price changes at least one month ahead.
Availability
We do our best to keep the service available at all times, but we cannot guarantee it. We announce maintenance where we can. We back up your data every day.
Ending
You can stop at any time. You then get your data in a readable format. We can stop if you break these terms or if the service ends, with at least one month's notice.
Liability
We are liable for damage caused by our fault, up to the amount you paid in the last twelve months. We are not liable for fines that follow from information you did not give or gave late. Legal rights you cannot waive remain in force.
Law and court
Belgian law applies. In case of a dispute the courts of Ghent are competent.
